Jonathan LOVES Legos!!!! So much so that he usually works on his Legos daily for a couple of hours and thats about all he talks about. In fact, when interviewed at his school for their graduation video, he said he was going to grow up and be a Lego builder! I think he would sleep on the floor with his Lego mess if we would let him. He has loved Legos since he was a baby. We have the Lego Duplo sets, Megablocks (which are mostly all princess or PINK since the addition of all these girls) and the big boy Legos.
So about three months ago when I caught word that a new LEGO store was going in at OUR mall, I knew this was going to cause some troubles. Today was the official grand opening but I think we've all been there at least three times within the last two weeks while they've been silently open. We had the whole day planned for a boy date, JUST BOYS! We were going to meet up with our special friends (all BOYS), but they got sick (We missed you guys!!!) so it was just a Mommy-Son date which was great!

We got there right at opening, the place was somewhat empty, we looked around, and then headed right to the Grand Court for the special 3 day Lego Master Builder Event to construct a 8 foot tall Yoda. Jonathan had a blast and I had a blast watching my little boy do what he does best, build with LEGOS!
This will probably go down as one of the best dates with my son. We held hands, laughed, I even got a kiss, and shopped for LEGOS! He was in heaven and I too was in heaven with ONE KID, my only son!!! Now I have to say, after we bought him some new legos, he kind of fizzled out on me..all wanted to do was go HOME and NOW! He was done with the whole Lego experience, all he wanted to do was go home and BUILD, no lunch, no more 'just Jonathan time'...all he wanted to do was contruct his new Legos. After minutes of convincing him I was hungry, we at least got lunch together to end our date! Honestly, it all worked out as there was a huge line at the Lego store and apparently there were people from everywhere coming for this event. There was a lady there from Spring and Dallas! WOW!

Grace took a little time out for a kiss with Colton.

Day #2: Jonathan, Faith and Daddy went for day #2.

Day #3: After church we dropped by the mall again to see the progress. Yoda was looking good but needed a little help, so everyone constructed another brick (even Grace).

Sunday Day #3: After the girls took naps, we headed back up to the mall for the final installment of the Yoda bricks. At five pm Mr. Dan completed the master piece. We all celebrated (our friends and Mimi even showed up for the grand party)!!!!
