Day #5

I'm really feeling displaced as it's cold in St. Louis right now. We all showed up with flip flops and shorts and only three days worth of clothes at Mimi and Papa's door step six days ago. So we took a trip to the mall today to pick some long sleeve shirts and SOCKS for the baby and to get away from the Hurricane news. We all enjoyed the merry-go-round and then headed off to the new CFA in the Valley. So today was a day of "firsts" for Hope: first time to wear socks, first time to ride the carousel and first time to eat chicken or any other table foods unless Grandma Barb or Mimi has snuck behind my back. Imagine that, she had her first piece of chicken at CFA!

Funny story: We were about to leave CFA for naps when this lady pulls out about 60 toddler and baby bows which I over heard her say they were for sale. For anyone who knows our girls, they almost always have some kind of hair accessory so this was a HUGE fashion fauxpax that we had evacuated with out BOWS! So I explain the situation and out the door we were with cute little bows for a $1.00 each. The ladies were trying to con me into buying MORE as they saw the three girls but I refrained thinking about the MOUNDS of bows we have at home! Crisis solved now we can just get home!
